Web Page Project

Creating a Personal Webpage

Instructions (guide) – worth 200 points (2 daily grades)

Objective: Develop a functional web site with a homepage, a second page about a topic you are interested in, (ie: Invisible Children) and a third page about something you would like, (ie: a photo gallery.)

The topic of your web page is “All About Me Website”. Using notepad create three webpages about yourself, a biography page (home page.) Write about your various life experiences, including your involvement in activities in and out of school, your travels, past accomplishments, and future goals. Include graphics and text formatting and links to your other two pages. List at links to topics that you are interested in, such as news, weather, sports, entertainment, movies, music, and/or television series, and a 3rd page, an interest page. This page highlights a hobby or something else of special interest.

You must include articles (paragraphs) you have written about yourself (on each of your pages.) It must include images and color, graphics and text formatting. The following items must be included in your web page. Please place a check mark beside each item as you complete them. Answer the questions at the bottom of this page to be turned in with the rubric - when project is completed .

Try searching for "graphics for the web, free" , "buttons for web pages, free", or anything else that you think might return some cool things to use on your pages.

NOTE:  Your project is due Friday, November 16.  You can literally spend HOURS at these sites.  Please be aware of the amount of time you have to spend 'searching'.  You must leave time to actually create the web site.  It can be modified at a later date.
